She tried to ignore them and be happy with herself But their words hurt her like a knife She wondered why they couldn’t see her true self Why they had to judge her based on her life
She wished they would stop and think how it feels To be criticized for something you can’t control To be made to feel like you are less than real To be denied the respect and love you deserve as a whole.
