I turned my cheeks,
and I was beaten.
I put my heritage
I became a slave sold.
Humbled myself, I submitted, then
I became bold.
Then the world changed
too presumptuous.
The world fell evil
the veil, my dreams over.
Body, breathe, evil
spores, I fought
against the evil of charity.
Who will win the goodness, or
malice, the nights I sat pondering?
